But that make it unusable and dysfunctional is criminal, from my point of view. Apple has created or at least pushed a lot the development of the FireWire protocol, at now, with the arrival of El Capitan… you make my FireWire Apogee Duet soundcard unusable… It is in these situations that it is convinient to talk of PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. I make my living using this software… latest version has brought multiple projects to a halt. CPU and disk spikes…. same as the others, it seems.

The Drummer feature alone is probably worth the price of the software for me, ever since moving away from the city I haven’t had a chance to really jam with a real drummer but being able to quickly put together organic feeling drum tracks and tweak them on the fly is a fantastic tool for getting creative with my guitar/bass writing. I am waiting however for a real modern metal drummer setting, I think this would be very helpful to me.

Since updating to 10.2.2 I’ve been getting “midi jams” or loops/sustains weird ! Tried to reset all midi options but problem still there. Using MOTU Midi Xpress. It was driving me crazy ! Went back to Logic Pro X 10.2.1 and all is good. Strange ! Anyone experiencing similar issues ? Otherwiswe I love Logic Pro X

So much power… it is frightening... at first sight, but then, you realize how user-friendly it is ! Those effects are fantastic and now you are able to change their : “ View size “… fantastic ! You can take any : “ Movie clips ", old or new, from old or new camcorders… and edit the : “ Audio tracks “ to your liking… awesome ! Logic Pro X 10.1.1 with Yosemite 10.10.5 is so precise and stable… it is such a great pleasure to work with. I am delighted beyond my wildest dreams. I can’t work on it very often, because I’m so busy with other softwares… but when I do, it sure is a treat ! Keep up your excellent work Apple, I’ve been with you for 10 years and I’ve loved every minutes of it ! Now, with the new version 10.2… for free, it is incredible ! Alchemy is so mind-boggling and... what a fantastic library that goes with it. There are incredible sounds for every occasion. Also, it is so easy to use our : “ Newly created tracks “, put them in the : “ Media browser “ and use them with : “ Final Cut Pro X “. It is an amazing piece of software ! I have a : “ Mac Pro “ with : “ 32 Gigs of Ram “ and it works flawlessly. If you’ve got the Machine to do it… you’ve got the : “ Absolute power “. I just love the new design of the effects with the new version.

I’ve been an avid Cubase user for years but I purchased Logic X merely to try it out as I was not satisfied with Steinberg as they are very slow at keeping up with Mac OS upgrades. First let me say that Alchemy (Synthesizer) alone is worth the price of admission, Alchemy is a MONSTER synth with unreal power, few synths IMO even compare and I’ve used all of the big names. Secondly, as a songwriter the unique and brilliant drum track is fantastic for songwriters and producers alike. I could write a book on that alone. Finally I am impressed by Logic’s ease of use and editeding tools as well as their guitar amp and pedal section. I would highly recommend Logic for songwriters and producers of any genre of music. I hope Apple continues to improve and be competitive with Logic.

Common Apple, you have the man power and money power to make this right. I depend on this application for so much of my work and this latest release is RIDDLED with BUGS! Too many bugs to write in this description. It would take me all day. Run this and perform some simple tasks and you will soon find it crashes and you lose everything! Auto-Update, kind of works, but not always. I really don’t have time for this. Such a shame because it’s such a good application when it delivers what it promises to. I don’t want to switch DAWs, but I’m more and more tempted to as this latest update is simply not usable in a professional setting. Really irritating. Don’t you guys have play testers over there in Coopertino? Common Apple, TEST BEFORE YOU RELEASE! Some of us actually use this software for our livelyhoods!

Logix X randomly deletes (defreezes) frozen tracks after undo/s. No support for custom colouring midi notes inside piano roll.

Been using it since 1998. In 2007 I dropped Pro Tools and all other platforms as Logic was and still is the one and only tool I need for my work. Pro X is the most sophisticated version, which sped up my workflow by at least 50%.

But in this version I have a big problem with ESX24 (It’s alchemy promo, right?). Some saved Instruments desappear when I switch between headphones and speakers. In result I have to set them up again. Also it happens after app restart, but not always. Hope you guys fix that! Anyway, logic is the best daw I ever use. Thanks!

please restore "Ascending" option when creating new tracks on inputs and outputs and restore the ability to create multiple aux tracks at one time. thank you.

I really like it! Although I was used to use the keyboard commands of Logic 9, they differ a bit. But anyway great software!

How can a bug like this exist, it blows my mind. This has happened to me before and im so sick of it. i Love Logic so ill give it the 2 starts, but because of this bug i can’t explain my frsustration enough. Ill open up one of my tracks and ill be like hey, this sounds different than yesterday. Yup, turns out Logic deleted one of my plugins…. This is beyond me how this can happen. A single insturment has so much to do with my music and logic deleted a very important one. Before any of you wannabe producers thumbs down my comment, I hope this bug happens to you and get right over to the app store and let apple know. Ive written this before and clearly this huge bug is being ignored. Apple, I beg you to fix this. Thanks.

Running a brand new macbook pro with 16gb ram and 3.1 ghz i7. Constantly comes up with system overload errors with few VSTS and many frozen tracks. This is unworkable. Otherwise, the DAW is my favorite.
