My go to DAW
(10.3 update) There are a couple welcome new features in Logic, thank you. I would give those features up to have the 10.2 GUI interface back. Much more pleasing on the eyes and looks more expensive then this flat eyestrain that is 10.3
(old)Have made the runs with Reason, Record, Ableton, FL Studio and am currently using and have been for over 3 years now Pro Tools and Logic. Logic is my favorite DAW to work in for all of my producing tasks, even mixing, mastering and tracking. I love the takes editing feature after tracking in a new instrument or vocalist. There are many things about this software that truly make it an amazing product for the price but that is a discussion for another time.
I will say the one issue I am having with Logic X is that it is an Apple product just as OS X Yosemite is but the application did not recieve any updates in such a long time that especially after the release of Yosemite I found that the application gives me “Logic quite unexpectedly” error many more times than I would deem appropriate. Most of the application quiting is happening while it is performing very light loads and in no way is my (1tb SSD, 2.66 12 core, 32gb ram Mac Pro) system not keeping up with the application. I make my living with my music and would appreciate it if Apple spent the time to release an update to fix this issue.
Logic on OSX Mountain Lion was rock solid
